Meare school has held Fairtrade assemblies, completes Fairtrade projects, campaigned for Fairtrade in local shops, and held a meeting for teachers from other schools to tell them about Fairtrade.

The school is using Traidcraft supplies. Special projects carried out in Fairtrade Fortnight.

The Blue School, Wells
The Blue School Council has a Fairtrade Team which aims to make presentations with video games and discussion to promote the use of Fairtrade goods.

Crispin School
Crispin School in Street has a Fairtrade Club which organises a regular Fairtrade Café, sells Divine chocolate and Geobars to staff and pupils, provides Fairtrade refreshments at parents’ evenings. They have taken a Fairtrade assembly to the local primary schools and have even written a Fairtrade song!

Colleges
Strode College
At Strode College in Street, students campaigned for Fairtrade products in their canteen and the vending machines have now been changed to Fairtrade.
Richard Huish College
At Richard Huish College in Taunton a Fairtrade Group has been formed.
GLADE
GLADE (The Global and Development Education Centre) in Yeovil sends a out a regular newsletter to schools in Somerset. They have devoted some whole issues to Fairtrade.
